State Medical Education Board
The purpose of the State Medical Education Board is to recruit physicians to rural communities throughout the state. Specifically, the Board helps bring about an adequate supply of primary care and other needed physician specialists in rural areas of Georgia by providing medical education scholarships and loan repayment opportunities for medical students and licensed, practicing physicians willing to practice in a targeted rural community.
